Pivo, jij doet helemaal niets verkeerd denk ik, maar ze zijn nog steeds hard bezig met die site van de banners. O.a. het registreren van nieuwe gebruikers was nog niet functioneel, toen ik daar laatst keek. Dat heeft te maken met een verhuizing van server, waardoor ze wat dingen overnieuw moeten programmeren. We had to move to a new server. We had to change our DNS to point to this new server, so it that took some time to propogate. After we finally got everything moved to the new server and the DNS switched, we found out it was a Windows server so a lot of things needed to be rewritten. To top it off, the new server's IP address changed shortly after this, so we had to wait for yet another DNS change to propogate. During this period, all kinds of strange things were reported -- some users say they were being redirected to other websites that had nothing to do with WhatPulse, some users experienced server errors from "file not found" to "connection refused", and some other users said the entire site was serving completely blank pages. I can't vouch for the validity of these claims, but I do know that there must have been problems of some sort. I guess you could say the site was hacked, if that is what you are wondering, but the problem has been corrected so it hopefully will not happen again.
Anyway, the basic service is up and running again, but some things need to be adjusted for the new server still.
- If you are not already logged in, you might not be able to login. The site may incorrectly tell you that your password is incorrect.
- New users might not be able to register. The site may tell new users that their password is incorrect.
- Fixed! -- The entire upload files section will not work correctly. This means that you probably won't be able to upload new files or use any files you have previously uploaded. In a few rare cases, files you have previously uploaded may have been deleted (more on this later, it only applies to users who have special non-ASCII characters in their usernames).
- Fixed! -- You may not be able to edit your signature. Currently, any changes you make in the "Edit Signature" section of the site are not being applied instantly. For example, the edit pages will load in the browser but clicking on a new background will not update your signature image.
- Fixed! -- Gradient backgrounds may not work properly.
